Igathe has dismissed the news as false.
A tweet claiming that former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Polycarp Igathe has been reappointed the Chief Commercial Officer at Equity Group is FALSE.
The 17 August 2022 tweet reads: “If being lucky was a person” and is accompanied by Igathe’s image with the bank’s logo stating: “Polycarp Igathe re-appointed Equity Group Chief Commercial Officer.”
The tweet comes in the wake of Igathe’s unsuccessful bid for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the Kenyan general elections of 9 August 2022.
